I have extensive experience working in the NHS, with clients from younger to older adults, including families and couple therapy. I specialise in working with individuals who experienced traumatic and adverse events in life (childhood/adulthood).

I have a particular interest in offering support to clients who experience chronic physical health conditions including cancer and palliative care. Long term illness requires the individual to make permanent changes to their day to day life, to redefine goals, make changes and to continually readjust to his/her way of being and living.

Within my clinical work, I draw on a number of therapeutic approaches: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Compassion Focused, and Acceptance and Commitment techniques, and Humanistic approaches, and also, brief solution focused interventions. I work with each client to develop a clear understanding of their needs, and to formulate, implement and evaluate a suitable therapeutic intervention.
